This remarkable Calcite specimen comes from the famed Sweetwater Mine in Reynolds County, Missouri, known for producing some of the most distinctive calcite formations in the world. Nicknamed “Dragon Scale” Calcite for its layered, scale-like crystallization, this specimen exhibits intricate surface patterning and beautiful phantoms of the Chalcopyrite hidden beneath the surface.
